marimekko ruudut bag 44x43cm white
This cotton bag features the Ruudut pattern. Marimekko bags are sewn using the whole width of the fabric, and therefore their appearance may vary slightly. Each item is unique.
This fabric was printed with a colour mixed from dyes left over from their own printing production. The colour of the products varies due to the different mixtures of leftover dyes used. The colour of the product may differ from the product image. 25% of the cotton used in this product is recycled cotton.
Marimekko are on a mission to increase the share of long-lasting and sustainable materials in their products and constantly test and develop new, lower-impact practices in their production process.
Four designers were invited to create an abstract naturethemed pattern using paper cut-outs for an ensemble representing the multifaceted nature of Marimekko. The Ruudut (squares) print is a collage based on the sketches received from the designers.
